Who is responsible for your data

CLEANONGO LTD (12 Deer Park Road, London SW19 3TL) is the data controller. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC260559. Contact: info@cleanongo.com.

What we collect and why

• Your name, email and phone number, to confirm and manage your booking.
• The address and any access instructions, so our cleaner can get in and do the job.
• Your booking and payment status, a record of what happened to the booking, and copies of the emails we sent you about it. Card details go straight to our payment provider and never reach us.
• How the site is used: which pages are viewed, the site a visit came from and the size of screen, so we can improve it. This is counted by our own website and kept only in our own database. No IP address is stored with the visit counts and nothing is shared with advertisers.

Why we are allowed to use it

Data protection law needs a reason for each use of your data. Ours are:

• Contract: taking your booking and carrying out the clean. Without your name, contact details and address we cannot book you in.
• Legal obligation: keeping booking and payment records for six years, for tax purposes.
• Legitimate interests: telling the owner a booking has come in or been cancelled, sending you the emails about your booking (confirmation, a reminder the day before, receipt, refund, and one asking how the clean went), and protecting the site from abuse. For that last one we count how often one IP address loads pages, books, asks for a quote, tries a discount code or tries to log in to the owner's dashboard, and how often one email address books or asks for a quote. Those counts are deleted once they are two days old. Attempts to log in to the owner's dashboard are also noted with the IP address, which is removed after 90 days.
• Consent: the visitor-counting cookie, which is only set if you accept it. You can withdraw that consent at any time, under Cookies below.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted providers to run bookings: Stripe takes card payments, Resend sends our booking emails, Netlify hosts this website and Neon stores the booking records. They act on our instructions and only for these purposes.

How long we keep it

Access instructions, such as a key safe or alarm code, are cleared 30 days after the date of the clean once the booking is completed, cancelled or has expired unpaid. If you start a booking but never pay, so the hold runs out, your name, email, phone number and address are removed from it after 30 days; the rest of the booking stays for our figures. Booking and payment records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Visit counts are kept for 13 months.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (access);
• have it corrected if it is wrong;
• have it deleted;
• restrict how we use it;
• object to our use of it;
• have the data you gave us sent to you, or to another provider, in a usable form (portability);
• withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it, which for the visitor-counting cookie means using the buttons under Cookies below.

To use any of these rights, email info@cleanongo.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie of its own by default: cog_consent, which remembers your cookie choice for six months. If you accept cookies, it sets one more: a random number (cog_vid) that lets us count you once rather than on every page. It lasts a year from your last visit, is set by this site alone and is not shared with anyone. If you decline, pages are still counted, but nothing is stored on your device beyond your choice, and any counting cookie from an earlier acceptance is removed. You can change your choice here at any time. Paying by card happens on Stripe's own checkout page, which has its own cookies and privacy notice.
